Here we do have a rare example of an 07/08 Adidas Formotion Newcastle United away 3rd choice shirt, worn by Alan Smith in a known domestic cup match- the only time to our knowledge this style of shirt was worn by the Toon during last season- and again comes to us directly from a football contact, obtain as a post match players swap.

The short sleeve Adidas Formotion shirt (Newcastle are using this Formotion technology for the first time last season) has all the differences that set it apart as a players spec shirt, including new Lextra style name & numbers, with the incorporated FAPL logo, Lextra flock FAPL sleeve badges, correct country of manufactuer, and carries the Formotion branding on the bottom left on the front of the shirt. But most importantly of all, a very rare style of Newcastle United shirt, match worn on only this one occasion.

Match issued shirts have been issued to the player by the club's kit man, but subsequently have not been worn and have come direct to us.
